| String Quartet |
| The string quartet is comprised of two violins, a viola, and a cello. Its full string sound is ideal for large weddings and other large-scale events. The repertoire ranges from the Baroque era, including composers such as Bach and Handel, through the Classical and Romantic eras (Mozart, Beethoven), and into the 20th century, including Strauss waltzes, Scott Joplin rags, and Broadway tunes. The quartet provides an excellent accompaniment for solo trumpet for added fanfare at weddings, and can also be used in combination with organ. |
| Trio Options |
Serenade offers two trio combinations; string trio (two violins and cello) and flute trio (flute, violin, and cello). In comparing the two ensembles, consider the string trio as three instruments with the same texture meshed into one sound. Conversely, with the flute trio, the flute sound carries over the strings. Because of the flute's delicate but penetrating sound, many consider the flute trio ideal for outdoor events. The trio repertoire is more heavily balanced toward the Baroque through Romantic eras, but we do have a nice selection of waltzes, rags, and Broadway tunes. Trios also make a nice accompaniment for solo trumpet at weddings, and can be used in combination with organ for added fanfare during processionals and recessionals.

| Duo Option |
Serenade offers four duo combinations: flute and violin, two violins, violin and cello, and flute and cello. Duos work nicely for very small weddings and other intimate gatherings (attendance less than 50), or for the client on a limited budget. The repertoire is largely unfamiliar to the average listener, but we do have a limited number of nice arrangements of wedding standards.
